IP Video Conference System

        This system brings high definition network video technology to a new level for

corporate video information communication which provides a new communication platform

for business development at anywhere, anytime. It overcomes the barrier of time and

location so that business promotion and management can be easily done without

limitation. The system consists of three modules:

      (1)Network video conferencing: interactive video business communication on PC or

mobile phone.

      (2)Network video display: corporate interactive video promotion, such as internet

display room or real-time video advertisement.

      (3)Digital network video surveillance and management: real-time monitor security

situation with alarm and video sent to and controlled by mobile phone.

1. Entry of the Platform

    1) Global Unified Public Website: www.cooview.com

        User can login on Cooview.com world-wide anywhere, anytime. This is as simple as

using emails. For first time user, Cooview administrator will set up user name and

password. Later on, the user can just enter the user name and password to enter his

own administration area.

    2) User can also use its own website which can be used as entry interface with

Cooview.

        User can use its own website and enter username/password to enter its own

management space.

2. Components of the Platform:

    The platform consists of three components:

        (A) Front end facility: network video servers or network cameras (IP cameras). Their

functions are to encode compressed and digitized the video stream and to communicate

to the internet.

        (B) User End: the PC or mobile phone which can access the Internet.

        (C) Service Platform System (www.cooview.com): it consists of SIP

registration/location server, transfer server, video server, central application server, core

database, application database, central web server, application web server and so on. Its

main function is to manage the front end facilities, video stream and user information. The

video stream usually flows directly from front end cameras to user ends, and only video

stream of some  special VIP paid applications goes from some transfer servers of a central

server to large numbers of users.

3. Three Functions of the Service Platform:

        It provides a economic, novel and user-friendly tool for (1) network video conference,

(2) network video display for exhibition, and (3) network video security surveillance and

management.

    3.1. Video Communication for Business: upgrade of facilities and

management

        Many companies have already built their video security surveillance system.  The old

system can be upgraded or rebuilt using our embedded video servers, so that the

managers can use PC or mobile phone to monitor and manage the situation on real-time

basis.  Meanwhile, it can also be used for some added value service: 24 hours display of

its product exhibition on network as a corporate “business card”. It also allows product

sellers and buyers discuss products using multimedia interactive communication.  For

example, for textile industry, buyers can use this system to showcase its samples,

designs, changes on video and discuss interactive through the website.

    3.2.  Functionalities of Corporate Network Video Conferencing

        The scheme of a video conferencing system consists of four parts, i.e. a computer

network, audio input/out and amplification systems, video input/output and

encoding/decoding (e.g. NewStream’s network server) systems, a computer screen or

projector system. The video Conference system connects the video/audio information from

the region with those in several remote conference rooms.  So the participants can see

real-time situations in other remote conference rooms and communicate interactively.

        On the computers at the conference rooms it shows audio control system, video

stream server, and other control systems. The displaying system and video control system

are connected to the conferencing network which is connected to local network, and the

network connecting facilities can control whether a particular video or audio information

can be transmitted to the conferencing network. The content of the conferencing network

transmitted to the Internet through a separating device.

        The audio amplification device at the conference rooms controls the audio speakers,

and the high definition video/audio signals are transmitted through NewStream’s

embedded video server. This server contains an embedded password and digitize/encode

the video streams using H2.64 Standard.  So the authorized users can use their browser

to realtime watch the conference and communicate interactively. (see the scheme below)

        High definition audio/video streams are integrated with online office system,

multimedia white board, dynamic PPT, Flash online demonstration, etc. It supports remote

synchronized web browsing, multimedia document browsing, conference recording and

playback, remote controlling of cameras.

    3.3 Business Video Exhibition: real-time product online demonstration

        The company can display its product at one or several demo booth, and the high

resolution cameras can show the product demo real-time on the network.

        When a customer visits www.cooview.com and search a product, he can find the

company web pages, and click on the online product demo and show it.  It is like a 24

hours online product booth for display.

    3.4. Visualized Management and Security Control

        A. Visualized Management

        The managers can watch the situation at production lines in the office or remotely

and  give instruction on real-time basis, or record the process, and therefore achieve

visualized management. This is also a good way for speeding up product development

where visualization is important.

        B. Security Surveillance

        a) The staff at security control center can watch the TV or PC to survey every corner

of the company, and real-time watch high definition DVD quality video and control the

camera settings which can find the control point through automatic cruising.

        b) The users within certain authorization can watch the surveillance points or watch

the real-time company situation through PC or IPTV.

        c) All videos at surveillance points can be recorded on hard disks or recorded

according alarm triggered scheme, so that the company staff can play back or play later.

    3.5 Video Conference, Demonstration and Security

        The management of video conference, live business demonstration and video

surveillance includes data and video management, e.g. video data storage and backup. 

This includes automatic recording, intelligent editing, automatic archiving, intelligent

searching and playback etc. This management system can also include events from other

systems, so that users need not to manually input event information, reducing work load

and increasing the efficiency of video conference, live business demo and video

surveillance.
